Yesterday, we observed International Women’s Day in celebration of the impact and strength of women everywhere. I participated by wearing my favorite holiday red skirt to work, where all of my women co-workers also wore their representative reds. It was empowering to see people throughout the day, co-workers and strangers on the street alike, wearing vibrant hues of red in solidarity. So to commemorate the occasion, I’m sharing a fun sleeved red romper from BCBGeneration that I’ve been favoring for those warmer Spring-transitionary days.
I think it’s no surprise that I am a big fan of rompers, especially those with little floral designs! This sleeved red romper has quickly become a favorite of mine for a few reasons. Firstly, did I mention I’ve grown to really appreciate subtle floral details? The soft blue, green, and cream print accents play so well against the fabric’s ruby red background. Small floral detailing is such an easy way to add a touch of flare and personal style to an outfit. Secondly, sleeves. In romper-style pieces, sleeves are a severely underrated and underrepresented feature. I’ll concede that sleeveless rompers have their perks, but sometimes a little extra arm coverage is what you need in warm-but-breezy weather. And these sleeves deliver! Thirdly (is that a word?), the scarf neck detailing adds extra dimension to round out the romper’s personality. I didn’t think I would like it but it definitely grew on me before winning me over.
But the real romper win is it’s versatility. Not only does this look fantastic as a romper, but it also has an amazing profile when coupled with a skirt. What you get is an instant outfit overhaul with minimal effort! I paired the romper an old lace skirt with a similar red hue, hiding the “shorts” underneath. It instantly transformed the look and feel! Use this quick tip quickly elevate a casual weekend romper to an office-appropriate look during the workweek! #werk
Have I sufficiently convinced you yet? Are rompers not one of the most amazing clothing hacks of all time? I’d love to hear about your opinions on the romper scene. Yay or nay? In or out? Here to stay or “so yesterday”?
As always, thanks for stopping by. Please leave your thoughts in the comments below and coming by again soon for more!
