My first post from Chicago—such a photogenic city! Can you guess where these shots were taken?
We’ve all had those busy, jam-packed days where you’re out and about from morning to night. It’s especially challenging when you’re playing tourist and spending the entire day exploring a new city or scene! As we push deeper into spring, it becomes a bit challenging to find a day-to-night outfit that either won’t leave you feeling too warm throughout the sunny day or too chilly as temperatures cool in the night. My solution? Versatile tops and layers, layers, layers… (and maybe an extra pair of shoes toted around an an oversized bag)
… DAY …

Bringing back some recent BR procurements from that massive 50% sale earlier this year… I have come to adore this tiered and simple white racerback tank for its versatile simplicity. I threw on one of my favorite strand necklaces to tie the white-grey color scheme together.
And yes, those are the same faux gray suede pants from the BR! I’m trying to branch out and wear more colorful pants, and as someone who is usually a jeans and black leggings person, this is my first step there. And yay for white pumps! I can’t get enough of these beautiful straps…

… NIGHT …

As the sun sets and the wind picks up, I find that a trusty cardigan is all you need to stay warm. I like playing with varying sleeve lengths and found that this 3/4-sleeve look paired well with the longer, layered look of the white top. The woven grey and black threading worked well to tie in the entire outfit from head to toe! I brought with me a change of shoes—black booties for a “casual night out” look and finishing off the gray gradient color scheme.

Thank you, Trou!
Love how you styled this top! I have the same one (probably from the same BR sale!) in black.
Thank you so much, Shireen! It’s such a versatile top and in my regular wardrobe rotation… I also considered getting it in black! How do you like it?
