It’s funny how eager one is to throw on a pair of shorts and sandals when the weather shows the tiniest and earliest signs of winter relief—but when it comes down to it, 60° F is still pretty cold! Having a cute jacket to throw on makes the semi-chilly transitional weather seem a bit better.
I went for a super quick, last-minute trip to Boston this past weekend and got to see a handful of close friends while I was there—special shout out to Yuchen, Carolyn, Migz, and Sun! The cooler weather didn’t stop me from enjoying the sites: I traipsed through the Common and Gardens, drop by the alma mater, ate a slice of my favorite 5-layer chocolate cake, and took pictures along the way!
Enter this Loft ivory jacquard moto jacket. It’s soft and comfy with subtly-stitched weaves throughout, and kept me warm throughout the day. Although I had to work it a bit to get the lapel to lie open— no snap closures found on other moto-style jackets—this jacket is easily dressed up or down and has become one of my new favorite spring outerwear pieces.
I dressed this down with some denim and an accent necklace for a casual weekend look, but brought back my go-to white flats from last summer to complement the color—they’re pointed-toe and made from linen, providing a casual vibe to an otherwise professional-looking shoe.

Thanks for dropping by and as always, I’d love to hear from you!
