And just like that, it’s a new year. Welcome to 2016! And for those of us in the Northeast, welcome to winter where the days have finally started to dip below 40 F. It feels justified, considering the unseasonably nice weather we’d been blessed with clear through the end of December.
During the last few weeks, I must confess that I’ve become a fan of Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce. It took no more than halfway through the first episode to come to that conclusion and now can’t decide if it’s presence/introduction to Netflix’s arsenal is a blessing or a curse. Likely a combination of the two, as most good things often are. :P
And speaking of combination, I’ve definitely been favoring the collared shirt + sweater look for that comfy-not-frumpy layered vibe. The colder months make me not want to put in as much effort into my dress; I generally go for the standard high-bun, loose top, leggings, and tall boots. But pairing a simple woven sweater with a contrasting blouse and complimentary pants (in case you can’t tell, those are gray faux suede riding pants!) puts a whole new spin in comfy and casual, in a good way!
There’s lots of good things ahead this year, the first of which being that penny for her thoughts turns 1 year later this month! In case it wasn’t obvious, I have only everyone to thank for helping my get this far. And to keep the good news rolling, I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be celebrating by having my first ever giveaway! Stay close for more details on that to come :)
